If you would of told me in march when lockdown went into place, that I would of been spending my birthday stuck in the house I would not of believed you. I have been finding lockdown hella hard if I am honest, I don't have the best relationship with my mum (that I live with) and I absolutely love work. So I have been hoping and praying I would of least been able to go for a meal or something for my birthday, however dominos was the best we could do.

My boyfriend decided to move in when lockdown happened as it would of meant me being alone in the house 6 days a week. Not going to lie living in basically a room with someone is hard going, so how he still loves me I don't know. He started planning my birthday months ago, I had numerous parcels coming to my door so had no idea what he had planned.

I will get onto my birthday day now, enough with the rambling. I woke up with the alarm going off at like 7:30, this for me is way to early so I did stay in bed for a little to come to, while Corey was sorting stuff downstairs. This is what I seen when I entered the living room... Safe to say I wanted to cry!

What I got for my Birthday

My boyfriend definitely got some pointers of the lads girl friends because safe to say I was shook. I have wanted the Huda Beauty Desert Dusk palette for a while now and he got me that along with Morphe brushes. I am so obsessed with Disney still at the age of 23, Bambi and Dumbo are my ultimate favourites so he bought we a large dumbo teddy (theres a story behind it, and me losing mine as a child), I also received the cutest Skinny Dip thumper make up bag. He did so good and I am so lucky to have him, however he did completely mess up on the card without even noticing, and left the template name on it. You may now call me Rachel, however the cute little paragraph inside made up for it.


I won't go on too much about the materialistic things as they are not important. After I had opened my presents Corey hid away in the kitchen to make breakfast, this is what he came out with!! Sorry for the photo the video is over on my insta highlights..

The Food and Drinks 

So after over indulging in them amazing pancakes, we got ready and wave to my grandma and dad through the window. I am so close to them it was so horrible not being able to give them a squeeze. Then came back home and Chef Corey was back in full swing with the party food. Yet again videoed the food so I am sorry theres no picture evidence, but I am sure you can imagine sausage rolls, dippers, sandwiches and crisps, this btw is what I requested very easily pleased haha. So we then chilled out with a few drinks in the garden, I was so lucky the weather was absolutely amazing.

While chilling out in the garden I had two gorgeous flower deliveries off my two best-friends and it really did catch me by surprise, unexpected flower deliveries are just the best aren't they!

When my mum got home we ordered Dominos, then we just chilled out and ate the life supply of chocolate I was given and had some more drinks before bed. Corey's mum was kind enough aswell to bake me a cake which was AMAZING! Ill include a photo of that below..


I had a lovely birthday and am so lucky to be surrounded with great family and friends that were able to keep my spirits up via FaceTime etc. Never in a million years would I of thought a boy would go to this much trouble for me on my birthday, so I am so thank full to Corey for making it a birthday in quarantine to remember. Heres to 23, I mean can't exactly live my first few months of 23 to the fullest with everything going on, however when this lockdown is over I will never say no to seeing friends or family again.
